Vanilla French Toast with Fresh Berries

Have breakfast in bed with our french toast made with delicate challah bread, top with fresh or thawed frozen berries and plenty of maple syrup.

Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 to 6 thick slices of challah bread
- 1 to 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Strawberries, raspberries or blueberries
- Maple syrup, warmed
Method
Whisk together milk, eggs and vanilla extract in a shallow bowl.
Dip challah slices into the egg/milk mixture, turning and waiting a few seconds to let the bread absorb the egg mixture.
Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat and brown slices on each side until golden, about 2 minutes per side.
Serve immediately with warmed maple syrup and berries.
