Community Support at Town & Country
At Whole Foods Market, we are active participants in our community and extremely proud of our community involvement and the relationships we continue to forge. To best fit the needs of our community, we live our philanthropic mission through a variety of giving opportunities.
- Supporting several local food banks by donating perishable and non-perishable items seven days a week
- Donating goods and services to local organizations
- Sponsoring community events
- Educating adults and children with interactive tours of the store
Community Support Days
Our Community 5% Days are one meaningful way we give back to our community. These 5% Days consist of in-store events and demos, and end with five percent of the day’s net sales being donated to the benefiting organization. Customers help support our selected 501 (c) 3 organizations just by shopping on these 5% Days.
One Dime at a Time
Our One Dime at a Time program provides an incentive to our customers to eliminate single-use plastic bags and develop stronger communities all at the same time. At the register, customers have the option to receive a 10 cent per bag refund as cash back off their receipt or they can choose to donate it to that quarter’s selected 501 (c) 3 organization.
Community Partnership Opportunities
We offer various donations to 501 (c) 3 organizations to help their needs and goals be met. On a local basis, we are actively involved in our communities by:
- Special Event or Series support through the donation of goods and services
- Charitable product donation to meet a specific community need
- Special project support
Organizations interested in any of these opportunities may visit www.wholefoodsmarket.com/donate and select the Town & Country store to begin the submission process. Please submit your donation request 6-8 weeks before your event; this allows us the chance to maximize our giving. If we believe Whole Foods Market can be of service to your event, someone from our community support team will be in touch. Though the number of requests we receive prevents us from responding to donation requests we cannot grant, please know that a real person reviews each and every donation request that is sent to us.
In order to keep our donations local and best serve our community, we do not donate to individuals, individuals seeking pledges, multiple requests from the same organization, or organizations and/or causes that are not close to our local community.
