Our Whole Foods Market Lincoln Park Cooking Classroom is on a mission to bring back and elevate home cooking in Chicago! We believe in teaching cooking classes for all skill levels; helping you make real food with ease, confidence, and passion. Our talented team of Cooking Specialists and Guest Chef’s offer weekly hands-on cooking classes for adults and children of all cooking comfort levels.

Join Sarah, our Cooking At Home Specialists, as she shows you the simple knife techniques needed for prepping produce beyond slicing and dicing.  Learn how to properly cut all the awkward produce. This includes cantaloupe, pineapple, avocado, cucumber, kiwi, cauliflower, mango, orange, greens, ginger and garlic.  You will be making three mouthwatering salads using your newly cut produce.  Produce subject to change due to availability.

Lovers of Life, Unite!
Hand Rolled Ravioli, Red Wine Flight, Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

The way to anyone’s heart is through the stomach!   Join Sarah, our At Home Cooking Specialist, as she guides you through the fun process of making ravioli from scratch.  Enjoy a freshly made marinara, pesto, garlic bread, a house salad, a small flight of red wines and some chocolate dipped strawberries to end your meal.  Bring a friend, loved one or a stranger you just met to cook, wine and dine through the evening in a fun, hands on cooking experience.

Come join our Cooking At Home Specialist, Sarah, as she teaches you all the skills needed to successfully make sauces, dressings and marinades at home.  All skills welcomed.  Participants will be learning how to make roux for three classic sauces:  brown (gravy), red (tomato) and mornay (cheese).  We will also make an authentic curry, an Asian dipping sauce, a vinaigrette and discuss the science behind marinating.   Come hungry because you will be eating your creations throughout the class.  Class includes samples and take home recipe cards.

Sushi Class

Pasta 101

Join Phillipe Sobon, a self-taught chef living in Chicago, to learn how to make fresh pasta for your family and friends. He will be teaching you how to make 3 different types of pasta from scratch, how to incorporate a healthy twist into each one, show you how to make fresh ricotta and a delicious sauce using ingredients already in the pantry. Phillipe has been a finalist on Masterchef Season 5, a contestant on Food Network's Cooks vs. Cons Season 2, appeared on LIVE with Kelly & Ryan, USA Today, WGN, a finalist for World Food Championships 2017, HMS Host 2017 finalist and has worked with Fabio Viviani and Graham Elliot.
