Dark Rye is the Whole Foods Market mixtape — raucous and always delicious — and hey! We’re on TV! Dark Rye airs on Pivot TV on Sundays at 10:00am ET/7:00am PT.
If we told you that a show about trash was actually very funny, would you believe us? Well, the new docu-comedy Human Resources from Pivot TV, the TV network that brought you Dark Rye, follows the New Jersey-based company TerraCycle whose mission is to “eliminate the idea of waste.”
Every Friday night at 10 pm ET/PT, you can watch this cast of entertaining characters turn hard-to-recycle trash into fun stuff that you would actually want to buy (like a tote bag made of juice packs).
The drama in Human Resources doesn’t involve cocktail-throwing or revenge seeking, but it’ll make you look at trash in a new way. You’ll find yourself wondering why your company doesn’t offer daily yoga classes or serve vegan lunch every day to its employees.
Check it out for yourself. The entire first episode is up online now and you can watch it here.
If the show has you feeling inspired and crafty, Pivot TV has some easy DIY activities.
You can also take action at TakePart.com to help transform recycling and improve the economics and prevalence of sustainable packaging and manufacturing.
