I don’t know about y’all, but the holidays pretty much wiped out my pantry. There’s hardly a bread crumb or a carton of broth left on the shelves. And that’s okay with me. After two months of holiday feasting, I’m ready to focus on lighter fare.

Based on past experience, I know I have to support my resolutions by re-stocking my kitchen. With plenty of healthy favorites on hand, I’m way less likely to order pizza and more likely to fix a delicious and nutritious meal.
I tend to approach pantry stocking the same way I’d make my favorite go-to meal — the Mighty Bowl of Goodness opens in a new tab. That is to say, I start with a base of whole grains and beans, then add fruits, veggies, seasonings and condiments.
