Even when things start to look bleak in the fridge I don’t panic when mealtime rolls around. I always try to keep a few things on hand in the pantry to help in those times of need.
One of my go-to ingredients is canned tuna. It’s incredibly versatile and the mild flavor means my kids will enjoy dinner as well!
Plus, Whole Foods Market has a line of canned tuna called Pole & Line that’s — you guessed it — pole caught, one at a time. That means I can feel good about buying it, knowing it comes from a sustainable fishery that uses an approach to eliminate the indiscriminate harvesting of other species. This Yellowfin Tuna is harvested in the Maldives, and each catch can be traced back to the Marine Stewardship Council-certified fishery and the actual boat that caught it. If knowing where your food comes from is as important to you as it is to me, this is great news!
Here are just a few of my favorite ways to prepare canned tuna for the whole family.
