A Bounty of Bell Peppers

Crunchy. Packed with flavor. Beautiful bright colors. I can’t get enough of bell peppers.

Bell peppers come in a variety of colors including green, yellow, orange, red, and even white and purple. Baby bell peppers always start out green. As they grow, their colors change. For harvesting, they can be picked green, or farmers can let them continue to mature to a variety of other colors. While you can use any color of bell peppers in your recipes, remember that their flavors range from slightly bitter and pungent for green peppers to mildly sweet for red peppers, so choose accordingly.

Look for our Whole Trade® Guarantee seal when you shop for bell peppers. Every time you purchase a Whole Trade product, you improve the lives of others by supporting better wages and working conditions, environmental responsibility that encourages biodiversity and healthy soils, and community development projects such as scholarships, housing and health clinics.  Plus, 1% is donated to Whole Planet Foundation® to help fund poverty alleviation through microcredit in the US and abroad.
