Easy and Delicious Options for Ramadan

Updated May 30, 2017

Whether you’re observing Ramadan or simply looking for convenient and enticing eats, the halal-certified offerings from Saffron Road are a shortcut to delicious meals. There’s an array of vegetarian and meat options to choose from, and the meats are from animals that are vegetarian fed and raised without antibiotics.

Frozen Bowls and Entrées

When time is really tight, freezer meals to the rescue! Saffron Road offers an international selection of halal bowls and entrées. Here are just a couple of our favorites:

Frozen Fish Bowls. Available in Lemongrass Basil Fish with Rice Noodles, Thai Red Curry Fish with Rice Noodles and Masala Curry Fish with White Rice. All of the meals feature wild-caught fish from the pristine Arctic waters of Alaska — each carefully prepared in an authentic Thai or Indian tradition.

Chicken Enchiladas Poblano.  In this heat-and-eat dish, mildly spicy poblano chiles accompany tender dark meat chicken rolled into authentic Yucatecan corn tortillas with spinach and Oaxaca cheese. Mesquite black beans and garlic rice fill out the meal.

Beef Bulgogi. For a simple yet satisfying meal, enjoy halal sirloin marinated in Korean bulgogi sauce and grilled to perfection. Colorful vegetables and brown rice make this frozen meal complete.

Snacks to Break the Fast

Baked Lentil Chips. Saffron Road is reinventing modern snacking by unlocking the power of lentils, which are dense in protein, high in fiber, and low in fat. Try these baked and lightly seasoned chips for an epicurean indulgence – in flavors such as Parmesan Garlic, Moroccan Barbeque, Sea Salt and Cucumber Dill.

Crunchy Chickpeas. These Non-GMO Project verified crunchy, organic whole chickpeas have 5 grams of protein per serving. Look for flavors like Falafel, Bombay Spice, Chipotle, Korean BBQ or Sea Salt.

Turkish Figs and Goat Cheese. Reawaken your taste buds with a sweet-and-savory appetizer featuring juicy figs and creamy goat cheese wrapped in flaky phyllo dough.

Crispy Samosas with Vegetables. For vegans and plain-old veggie-lovers, these heat-and-eat samosas are a satisfying savory treat.
