Way Better Snacks

Way Better SnacksThe folks at Way Better Snacks have revamped the classic tortilla chip with sprouted grains, beans, seeds and other simple ingredients that pack party-worthy flavor.

Enjoy the satisfying crunch of stone-ground corn chips with the added boost of sprouted quinoa, flax, chia, broccoli or radish seeds, sprouted brown rice, sprouted black beans or real sweet potato.

“Our approach is simple: we source high-quality ingredients and then germinate as many of them as possible,” says CEO and Founder Jim Breen. “We believe sprouting helps to ‘unlock’ the inherent good qualities of our ingredients.”

Way Better SnacksTo sprout their grains, beans and seeds, Way Better partners with a company that has 25 years of germinating expertise.

They also work with third-party certifiers to ensure these tasty chips are gluten free and Non-GMO Project verified.

“Everyone can feel good about sharing our snacks,” Jim says. “And the name Way Better drives everything we do, from our product to our packaging to the way we act as an organization.”

What’s your favorite dip to serve with Way Better tortilla chips?

I mix salsa with black beans (or lentils) - it goes wonderfully with their chips! Also, very filling and satisfying :)

We love your chips! We never feel guilty eating them because they have many healthy ingredients. I wouldn't buy them if the weren't GMO free so thank you! My 11 year old daughter can eat an entire bag if the chili in one sitting so we have to watch her. Thanks for making such a great product.

Sarah says …

I've had the sweet potato chips and they are nummy! I like that they don't use canola oil or gmo ingredients.

These chip are delicious! My kids love them, our favorite non guilty pleasure!

I believe the only flavor that has sugar is the Sweet Chili. It is sweet and spicy hot. Not in the extreme, but enough that my heat loving husband (who doesn't like sweets) gobbled up a whole bag one evening! We have also tried the Multi Grain which has a good corn flavor, and the Sweet Potato which is a corn chip with a hint of sweet potato and a little less hardness. Still plenty of crunch and crispy fresh, just not as hard. All around good tasting chips and they each have been unique and full of flavor.

Curious if they happen to be vegan also? That would be great!

Does Way Better post glycemic index values for their food products?

Ashley says …

How are they baked?

Marco says …

Now if you stop using the processed oils we be good! Start using animal fats or maybe Coconut or Palm oils! As these are the really nutrient dense foods. Marco

@ANN - While the ingredient list on their website (http://gowaybetter.com/ingredients/) did not list any animal ingredients, I would check the particular flavor you plan to buy to make sure.

Nikki - Community Moderator says …

Nikki - Community Moderator says …

I wanted to know when will you have food that you can order and have delivered to your home ? like Walmart . Also do your stores have scotters for the handicap so they can ride through the store to do their shopping.

Nikki - Community Moderator says …

@ERMMA - We do not currently have an online ordering system but hope to offer this in the future. Some of our stores offer personal shopping and delivery services so check with your local store to see if this is something they offer. Lastly, while most of our store provide scooters for shopping, this will also vary between stores. Your local store will be able to help you with this as well!

Love this chips. And whoever said to use palm oil, NO! Please do your homework, palm oil is the major reason the rainforests are destroyed; to plant palm trees. NO PALM OIL, PLEASE?!

Richard Hays L. says …

For me, it's a two bag ride home from the market. One, in this case accordingly, will have a good chance at actually making it to my pantry. The absolute "bestest" chips my lips have ever worked over. I'm thoroughly impressed, and ready for more. Got any new recipes in the works? Spicy Habanero or Serrano Garlic Vegetable Corn maybe? :-))) Gosh it would be fun to be you !!

Cora says …

I tried the blue chips for the first time this week and love them! I am so glad I caught them on sale at my local Whole Foods for 2/$5! I will be buying these again. They were great with veggie chili. My son enjoyed dipping them in his hummus. Can't wait to try some of the other varieties.

I was very dissapointed to learn today when I called in that you don't carry any grain-free crackers. I have MS and am working with a nutritionist who has recommended I do not eat any grains for the time being. With paleo eating becoming very popular I didn't think that finding grain free products would be so difficult. I though of all places Whole Foods would have some options. The man I spoke to on the phone seemed confused when I asked for "grain free". Anyways just letting you know I am interested in buying grain free products-maybe if other people inquire as well Whole Foods will start carrying these items. Lindsey
