I think I just might have to try the rice bag on my stomach to see if that helps raise my awareness of how I breathe-very interesting concept-I do find myself pretty stressed sometimes and wonder if this sort of thing could help.

This really interested me! I have a degree in Psychology and have studied the benefits of deep breathing from the diaphragm. It also helps a singing voice! I especially want to try his suggestion on walking meditation. Getting a rhythm going with your walking and then coordinate your breathing with it! How beneficial! Thanks, Cindi

I have been trying to "breathe" to calm myself for about 2 weeks and I have noticed a difference in my mood. I feel much more relaxed and better able to handle stressful situations that arise in everyday life. I can't wait to try the walking meditation, it sounds very relaxing.

I've always thought of deep breathing only as a way to calm down when stressed out..but now after listening to this, I will be making an effort to do it more often! Will be trying the rice bag technique later today!

Thanks for this podcast! I really enjoyed the tip for the walking meditation since I have tried to meditate several times before and have a very hard time with the 'stillness'. I'm still hoping I will someday become calm (as Charles sounds!) so I can reap even more benefits of meditation!

Sitting still to just breathe is so hard for moms - this podcast is a must for us! I'm going to try the walking meditation - release energy while releasing stress sounds like a good idea to me :)

I am one of those people who have a hard time sitting still. I usually try to listen to meditation tapes at night but am sleeping well before I can clear my mind so I love the idea of walking meditation!
