Welcome Spring

It’s officially spring, and with it comes warmer weather, lighter jackets and garden-fresh dishes. Asparagus, artichokes, berries and avocados finally return to the limelight – all delicious enough to make you forgive nature for making you wait to enjoy them once again.

Here are ten of our favorite seasonal recipes to help you welcome spring’s bounty.

Just learned how to roast asparagus, so that's high on my list. But I also look forward to making my own pesto from fresh basil - http://www.cooking4carnivores.com/2009/06/basil-pesto.html?m=0

I was wondering if you will be opening a store here in Warner Robins, GA. We really need a natural foods store and Warner Robins is where the Air Force Base is so you would have no problem selling natural foods here. A lot of us would like to know if or if not you will be coming here. Thank you.

Yes! We the people of Warner Robins/Macon GA area want a Whole Foods to open here! That would be so fantastic. With all the well-travelled people from Robins Air Force base you will get lots of customers!

Please open a location in Warner Robins, Georgia. This store is much needed in this area, because people are becoming more health concious and are wanting a health food store.

Hey there! We are returning to Warner Robins after 11 years away (moving with the Air Force) and I was hoping to find that a Whole Foods was available nearby...perhaps Macon? It doesn't look like I'm going to be that lucky though. I read the comments here in this blog and am now curious to know if any thought has been put into getting a Whole Foods into the Middle Georgia market. Thanks!

After retiring we moved to an apt in Greenville, SC. We wanted a place that had health food stores but a Whole Foods in particular. Greenville provided that. However, before we bought a house we considered other towns and cities in SC and GA. I was NOT willing to move to the Atlanta area. Macon was a strong candidate especially since it was on I75 which would have been great for family members to reach us. But we found that there is not anything there for really health conscious people so we ended up buying in the Greenville area. I would agree that Macon is definitely in need of a WF store.
