Gluten-Free Shopping Tips
Gluten is the mixture of protein fragments found in common cereal grains like wheat, rye and barley. However, some unexpected items — such as soy sauce, vinegar and blue cheese — may contain gluten too. Foods and supplements with “gluten free” on the label are regulated by the FDA and must meet FDA requirements. Below are some additional tips to help you navigate gluten-free shopping at our stores.
- Look for packaged products labeled as gluten free.
- Shop for our GlutenFree Bakehouse products. Your local store may have them in the frozen or bakery department. Our GlutenFree Bakehouse provides products to our stores across the U.S. and Canada.
- Look for gluten-free noodles, or alternatives made from spiralized vegetables (or make your own at home).
