Hingham Store: Donations & Community Giving

At Whole Foods Market we value the communities in which we do business; this is one of our Core Values!  We are proud of our community involvement and relationships that we continue to make each month!
Charitable Giving/Donations
We give in a variety of ways we give to our local community.  Here are some examples of how we help support our local community non profits.
  • Food and product donations to non-profits to support events
  • Food Bank donations – every day we donate safe and edible food from our shelves to local food pantries -- helping  hunger relief organizations nearby.
How to Apply For A Donation & Requirements:
  • Donation requests are accepted online only.
  • We try to help as many organizations as we can.  An organization that has not already benefitted recently during the year will take priority over those who already have.
  • Complete and submit online application at least 45 days prior to the organization's event or creative deadline date.
  • As part of the process you will be required to upload a copy of the non profit's 501(c)3 letter from the IRS/US Treasury. This is required at time of submission. Please note that this is a federal letter and not the Tax Exempt Form from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Community Involvement
There are other ways that our store works with non-profit agencies in the area. We participate regularly with community organizations and in-store by offering our customers coupons at checkout enabling them to support selected nonprofits. You’ll often find Team Members from the Hingham store sampling food or volunteering at community and fundraising events, too! And although many of our store-supported activities don’t require us to be there, you’ve probably snacked on our donations or purchased them to support the programs you’ve attended.
