We've got great classes, just for kids. All classes are suitable for 5-12 year olds unless otherwise listed. All classes are intended to be drop-off classes, unless otherwise listed, and are signed up for individually. Pre-registration is required for all cooking classes. Here's what's coming up this year. If you see a class you're intersted in marked as "Sold out" please contact us at 612.927.8141 or ani.loizzo@wholefoods.com and we can add you to the waiting list for that class in case there is a cancellation.

The Global Kids Kitchen Camp Goes to Italy (Session 1)- SOLD OUT!

This class will be taught by Chef Ani. School may be out, but it’s never a bad time to learn about history, geography, art, language and more…especially if you get to eat your homework! In this fun class, we’ll learn all about the history of Italy, culture and cuisine. We’ll learn all about the ingredients that go into Italian foods, the different cooking methods behind them, and taste all sorts of delicious things! This class can be vegetarian upon request (please specify when registering), but unfortunately cannot be gluten-free or vegan. Classes are suitable for kids ages 5-12, and are drop off classes- kids only please! Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty. Pre-registration is required. On the menu:

Kids in the Kitchen: Cheese Please- SOLD OUT!

This class will be taught by Chef Ani. There are so many cheeses in the world, you could try a new cheese every day and never try them all. That being said, there’s no time like the present to start. We’ll go beyond string cheese and slices to try some super delicious and maybe slightly weird cheese from around the world. We’ll try cheese made from cow, sheep and goat milk, some that’s pretty old and some that lives in caves. Then, we’ll turn some cheeses into homemade cheese crackers with cheese dip, stovetop mac and cheese and upside down fruit cheesecakes. This class is vegetarian and with gluten free options upon request (please specify when registering), but cannot be vegan. This class is open to kids ages 5-12. Our kids’ classes are drop off classes- kids only, please! Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty. Pre-registration is required.

Kids in the Kitchen: A Journey to France- SOLD OUT!

This class will be taught by Chef Ani. Join us for a quick trip to France, just in time to celebrate Bastille Day! In this class, we’ll learn all about how French kids eat and cook, taste some different French ingredients, and whip up a French feast! We’ll whisk up miniature quiche, savory crepes, and a delicious stacked thing called mille fuille (thousand leaves) for dessert! This class can be vegetarian but cannot offer gluten free or vegan options. Classes are suitable for kids ages 5-12, and are drop off classes- kids only please! Kids in the Kitchen: Delicious Dumplings- SOLD OUT!

This class will be taught by Chef Ani. You could travel all around the world, and almost everywhere you went, there would be delicious dumplings. A dumpling can be made from bread or grains, or can be filling stuffed in a wrapper made from many different things. In this class, we’re going to visit three countries on the Dumpling Express- Italy for potato gnocchi with pesto, Germany for spaetzle and Mexico for chocolate banana empanadas. This class might get a little messy, so make sure you’re not wearing your most favorite fancy clothes today! This class is hands on.  This class is vegetarian. This class cannot offer gluten-free or vegan options. Classes are suitable for kids 5-12, and are drop off classes- kids only please! Pre-registration is required.

This class will be taught by Chef Ani. It’s HOT. Chef Ani doesn’t ever think it’s too hot to cook (or eat), but maybe we’ll stick with cold dishes today, like avocado hummus, watermelon gazpacho, spring rolls, and shake your own ice cream. We don’t need any more heat than a little warm water, so you can eat up and stay nice and cool. This class might get a little messy, so make sure you’re not wearing your most favorite fancy clothes today! This class is hands on.  This class has vegetarian options and is gluten free. This class cannot offer vegan options. Classes are suitable for kids 5-12, and are drop off classes- kids only please! Pre-registration is required.

We will no longer be offering birthday parties at our Uptown location. All currently scheduled birthday parties will take place as planned, but no new reservations will be accepted.
