Welcome to the Whole Foods Market Test Kitchen

With so many talented chefs and creative recipe developers at Whole Foods Market, we needed an outlet to share their fresh ideas and delicious concepts with the real tastemakers – you! We’re so excited to share the launch of our first-ever food truck test kitchen, open seven days a week and parked in front of our flagship store in Austin, Texas.

What is it?

The Whole Foods Market Test Kitchen is an innovative food truck concept opens in a new tab created by our new Global Vice President of Culinary and Hospitality, Tien Ho opens in a new tab. Tien and his team will use the food truck as a delicious way to test new culinary ideas for our Whole Foods Market prepared foods and bakery departments. The team will change the menu every two months, testing new dishes and flavors that could become favorites nationwide. 

First on the docket are open-faced sandwiches, called tartines, so this first venture on the truck is named Tartinette. We’re launching Tartinette during Austin’s annual SXSW Festival, so Tien’s team hosted a preview event this week...
