I know it’s a cliché, but I really do like giving gifts better than receiving them. I thrill in finding the perfect item and watching a friend’s face light up when I hand them an unexpected package.
Most of my friends are into food and cooking like I am, so I tend to give homemade gifts from my kitchen, whether it’s ingredients or an already-baked treat.
Even if those on your “Nice” list aren’t foodies, gifts from your kitchen are the perfect way to share the spirit of the holiday season.

Let your recipient know if there is a “best by” date. Homemade vanilla sugar lasts forever, but chocolate-covered fruits don’t!
