I still remember the day when, as a kindergartener, I walked home from school by myself for the first time. It was a big deal, and to mark the occasion, I got to choose what we had for dinner that night. My choice? Roast chicken. Maybe not typical for a five-year-old, but I knew I loved chicken then and that love remains.
We buy a whole chicken at least twice a month in our house. The aroma of a roasted chicken warming the house on a Sunday afternoon makes everything more comforting. Plus there’s so many different ways to prepare a chicken that it’s hard to get bored with it.
