Back to School: Supplies I Love

PBS KIDS and Whole Foods Market have teamed up to offer a new adorable line of back-to-school products, which makes shopping for school supplies a breeze. And you’ll be earning extra credit because proceeds support children’s learning, nutrition and healthy development.

As the first day of school approaches, I’m not ready to bid summer farewell. I don’t want to give up my family’s evening swims, ice cream cone snacks or long sunshine-filled weekends with friends and family.

But there is something I am looking forward to: PBS KIDS opens in a new tab and Whole Foods Market® have teamed up to offer a new adorable line of back-to-school products including backpacks, reusable lunch totes, pencil cases, notebooks, folders and reusable sandwich keepers. They are made with organic cotton, recycled paper or other responsibly sourced materials and only found at Whole Foods Market stores, which means I can do all my shopping in one place. Plus, my kids love the cool designs. Robots, dogs, butterflies, oh my!

PBS KIDS School Supplies | Lunchskins

The organic cotton canvas items are from Esperos opens in a new tab, a company founded on the mission that every bag sold helps fund one year of education for a child in the developing world.

The reusable food keepers from Lunchskins opens in a new tab are perfect for sandwiches, snacks or fruit. Lunchskins is committed to reducing the amount of plastic waste produced every year, as each reusable bag can replace 500 plastic bags. (I’ll be buying a couple for my husband and my packed lunches too!)

The notebooks and folders for school and play are from Mudpuppy opens in a new tab, which supports children’s education throughout the year.

Whole Foods Market is also donating 1% of total sales from these school supplies (up to $25,000!) to Whole Kids Foundation opens in a new tab®, an organization dedicated to improving children’s nutrition and wellness.

In addition, for every Esperos backpack, pencil case and lunch tote purchased, Esperos will donate 10% of proceeds to help fund education for children in need through the Esperos Carry Hope initiative.
