I have made my own granola for many years (although I also buy it). Something I like to do is add non-instant dry-milk powder. It adds a wonderful dimension to the granola. You can also add instant-dry milk to the liquid ingredients before mixing. It adds good protein and makes a healthier granola. I first saw these recipes from a cookbook from Adelle Davis many years ago. Here's a link to one of her recipes. http://www.survivalblog.com/2012/09/recipe-of-the-week-29.html

How about a nutty chocolate granola made with raw cocao, raw peanut butter, cocao nibs, and almonds? I make something like it at home and its heavenly! My family can't get enough!

I would be happy with chocolate, or mocha, flavored granola with dark chocolate chunks and sliced almonds.

I've tried making granola with some slightly different ingredients - rye flakes, home-made candied orange and lemon peel, homemade baby mochi (like how they make it at Pinkberry), dried strawberries (added after baking granola (I have my own Nesco dehydrator), dried pears sliced very thin, black walnuts (I sometimes sugar them first, not always), sometimes use muscavado sugar instead of brown or molasses- very good!, cocoa nibs!!

Hmmm---this is hard. Lots of good ideas so far. I used to love peanut butter cups but have stopped buying them because of the ingredients in them. It would be great to have granola with dark chocolate mini bites and peanut butter chips. I 'm glad to see that the gingerbread love crunch is part of the Fair Trade Certified program.

I personally love tea infused stuff like probably have a vanilla chai with white chocolate yogurt chips ... heck, you can make the granola bar vegan by using soy chocolate.

My special flavor would be holiday inspired: Panettone!! It would, of course, have candied bits of citrus and raisins but something extra special like toasted mini squares of the cake/bread - - like little panettone granola croutons!!
