What's New in June

By Elizabeth Smith, June 1, 2013  |  Meet the Blogger  |  More Posts by Elizabeth Smith

From vacation spots to hairstyles to romances, summer is all about trying new things. Every month, we’re pleased to add many new products to our shelves that passed the testing and tasting and meet our strict Quality Standards. (That means they’re free of hydrogenated fats and artificial preservatives, colors and flavors).

Here are some new products that we think you'll enjoy this month. After all, if you choose not to finally climb the high dive at the pool (yikes!), you can still try something new worth talking about (yum!).

Annie's Chile Lime DressingAnnie’s Naturals Organic Chile Lime Vinaigrette
Some like it hot, and we encourage those shoppers to add a tangy-spicy splash to their salads, avocado, jicama or sweet corn. This new south-of-the-border inspired flavored vinaigrette balances hot jalapeños with cool lime.

Annie’s Naturals Organic Smoky Tomato Dressing
Some like it smoky, and this new dressing is indeed smoky and sweet like flame-kissed, vine-ripened tomatoes. It’s delightful drizzled onto salads or grilled veggies.

Annie’s Naturals Organic Cheddar Square
Meet the big cheese. Baked to crisp perfection, these classic cheesy crackers are made with real cheddar for big taste. They also provide 6 grams whole grains per serving.

Crofter's Blueberry SpreadCrofter’s Biodynamic Blueberry Premium Spread
Add bold blueberry flavor to toast, biscuits or anywhere else you enjoy jam or preserves. Crofter’s uses 1/3 less sugar than typical preserves to make this Non-GMO Project verified, limited-edition spread.

Evol Gluten-Free Sausage, Egg & Cheese Breakfast Bowl
Simply heat and eat this complete breakfast of scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage, roasted potatoes, cheddar cheese and salsa with 20 grams of protein and 9 grams of fiber.

Evol Breakfast BowlEvol Gluten-Free Egg & Cheese Enchilada Breakfast Bowl
Make it a good morning by spicing up your breakfast. Eighteen grams of protein and 9 grams of fiber make these scrambled eggs, black beans, cheddar cheese, corn tortillas and red sauce a complete meal.

Sky Valley by Organicville Organic Teriyaki Glaze and Marinade
Rachel Kruse, creator of Organicville, wanted a great-tasting organic teriyaki sauce made with simple ingredients and sweetened only with pure organic cane sugar. So she created her own! It comes in a handy squeeze bottle with a convenient flip cap too.

Three Twins Ice CreamThree Twins Organic Ice Cream
These dreamy ice creams are made with organic milk from family farms, and each pint sold supports the Three Twins Ice Cream for Acres land conservation initiative. Choose from these new flavors - Caramel Truffle Swirl, Chocolate Malt, Milk Coffee, Butterscotch Pecan or Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup.

Farmer Direct Co-operative Fair Trade Organic Bulk Grains & Beans
Eat good, do good; stock up on pantry favorites that are organic, fair trade and grown in North America. Farmer Direct is a unique cooperative with 60 family farms in the US and Canada. They’re among the first to provide fair trade certification for domestically grown organic grains, beans and seeds.

Which of these new products will you try this month? Is there anything new you can’t stop raving about? Let me know in the comments below.

There are so many different brands of Cheese cakes and you carry only one brand. Your store in North Raleigh is highly limited to products. Why is this? Pat

The farmer direct coop is awesome; love buying organic food grown in the US! I will have to read label ingredients before buying the other products listed. Will check out the chile lime dressing (hopefully it uses olive oil and not canola or something else, and doesn't contain agave or a lot of sugar) and the ice-cream (again, depends on ingredients; no agave or carrageenan, also have to check sugar and fat content).

Would you carry the Three Twins' new Butterscotch pecan ice cream in the single serve size in the Sebastopol store? I tried it at the demo and it wasn't too sweet- just right. They're perfect for dessert when you're on the go and won't be near a freezer. I also love the mint confetti. Thanks.

I'm just looking forward to the day when you have Three Twins Ice Cream in Strawberry Je Ne Sais Quoi - that I know I'll love - and I'd like to try it in Dad's Cardamom. The Sea Salted Caramel is AMAZING, so I'm out to try them all. :)
