Packing healthy lunches goes beyond school. I pack my lunch daily for work in order to avoid all the unhealthy and bad tasting offerings at nearby fast food restaurants. My favorite snacks include granola and soy yogurt, "Laurabars," guacamole w/ rice crackers, and apples with organic nut butters. Another favorite is homemade trail-mix made with seeds, nuts, dried fruit, and vegan chocolate chips. The greatest part; I share often with my coworkers, which has transformed the culture of eating overall in my office.

I've got a crazy sweet tooth, but i've learned to keep it healthy with natural treats! Some of my favorite creations are Medjool Dates stuffed with Almond Butter; Fresh Fruits chopped up and sprinkled with fresh-squeezed lime juice and a little chili powder; Chopped Celery Sticks filled with Chocolate Hazelnut Butter and dried cranberries. :D

Our current favorite healthy snack is Whole Foods thick rolled & organic oats, 365 brand dry roasted almonds and fresh local & organic blueberries or strawberries. Either dry or served over a ricotta mixture of low fat ricotta, fair trade vanilla extract, Nature's Agave raw agave nectar (amazing stuff) and a dash of cinnamon. Decadent and a little goes a long way.

trail mix: raisins, cashews, peanuts, dried fruit, rice sticks, dried chickpeas and sometimes for a treat add M&M's. another fave snack is raw veggies and hummus.

My favourite healthy snack is pretty simple, just a mix of several organic fruits/veggies such as: carrots, apples, kiwi, banana, celery, watermelon, musk melon, honeydew, mango, persimmon, blue/black berries or raspberries. I also like to have that with some hummus (for the veggies) or Justin's brand almond butter (for fruit) and, occasionally, 365 Organic Pretzel Twists!

My favorite snack is dried mango slices cut up into tiny pieces and mixed with salted whole almonds. The two flavors are wonderful and the mix is sweet, salty, and super-healthy.

My kids LOVE pretzels with peanut butter honey dip! To change it up I buy different pretzel shapes or I add something to the dip like shredded carrots, raisins or flavored dried cranberries! YUM!

A Delicious Frothy Date Shake is a favorite in my home. easy in the blender... makes enough for 2 large or 3 medium shakes Five to Six medjool dates/4 cups chocolate rice milk/2 Tblsp Almond butter/2 frozen ripe bananas(or not frozen)/1 Tblsp flax seed oil/*optional if using bananas that are NOT frozen a few ice cubes can be crushed into the shake. Directions-- Add dates to blender(take pits out first!) add a 1 cup of the chocolate rice milk(or flavour of choice) blend on chop setting aprox. 30-60 seconds then add bananas,remaining three cups of rice milk,almond butter, and flax seed oil start to blend at a lower speed for a few second then take it up to frape speed. Blend for about 1 minute. Then if needed add the optional ice cubes and hit the ice crush setting on the blender.(this gives it the texture of a milk shake). Serve right away!!! It is filling healthy and yummy!!! Enjoy!

My favorite healthy snack is a mix of dried cranberries and almonds. The protein from the almonds keeps me going, while the dried cranberries add a delicious touch of tart sweetness!

My kids FAVORITE afterschool snack is a piece of lavash flat bread spread with sunflower butter and sprinkled low fat granola and diced strawberries. Just roll it up and slice. Tasty, cute, and healthy pinwheels :)

My favorite snacks are: fruit such as apples, mangoes, pineapple, guava, papaya, strawberries, blueberries, raspberry put together in a fruit salad, vegetables such as peppers, cucumbers, and carrots in dipping sauce, all sorts of tea, hummus on crackers, frozen berries, homemade raspberry lemon poppy seed muffins, and much more!
