Awesome cookies! I seem to be having uploading problems as well. I uploaded it and got an email confirming that, but it was only uploaded to the customer recipe photos and not the recipe. Even when I click on "view the recipe" near my picture, it just goes to the main recipe page. Just want to make sure my submission was accepted in the appropriate spot! Thanks

beale says …

@Bridget: Thanks so much for your submission, and for letting us know the issue. I'm sorry you had that problem! We are busily working out a few kinks with our photo uploading system. Don't worry - we're keeping an eye out, and accepting cookie photos uploaded to "Customer Recipe Photos" and photos uploaded to the cookie gallery.

@kate: Thanks for your question! Yes, the deadline is October 29th, by 11:59 PM Central Time.

Alicia says …

We are gluten free so could I make them gluten free and still submit or is that a no-no?

Mary says …

Last night I tried several times to upload my pictures. I'm not sure if it went through, but sorry if there are multiple entries!

Jane says …

Have to do this quick....great recipe! The family can't keep their fingers of these cookies...they taste wonderful and healthier too! Great contest and we get to enjoy these scrumptious morsels!!!

If you haven't seen the blog www.missfiggy.com, check it out, it's FILLED with beautiful photos of Whole Foods ingredients...all vegan. Apparently it's the only place she grocery shops. Although she lives in NYC right now going to Parsons, her home town is Jamaica Plain, MA where you are opening a new Whole Foods store- hooray!!

My photo is not longer under teh recipe photos. It was there and now it is gone. What happened to it? Thank you.

Amy says …

I trued to upload a photo today and it keeps saying fake path. I tried about 7 times adjusted the size of photo and everything...just can't seem to get my photo to upload. The cookies were very good!

kate says …

Is there a deadline to submit a photo?

Alex says …

I'm sort of in the same position that Amy was in...I tried to upload a picture a couple of time (different sizes) but I'm not sure if it ever actually got uploaded...is there a way I can confirm that it was? Thanks!

beale says …

@Alex: Thanks for your comment. Our current photo display system shows the 8 most recently approved pictures at any time, so you may not see your photo on the recipe page. We're working to update this system so all photos will display. Rest assured all photos are saved in our database (I checked on yours specifically, and we've got it!).

Rose says …

Can a person submit more than one photo? I loved the recipe soooo much that I meant to give some away, but ended up eating them, so I'm making it again. I sent in my photo of the first batch. Thanks much.

beale says …

@Rose: Several folks have submitted more than one photo, so it's fine for you to submit another. Glad you liked the cookies!

Akiko Y says …

Could I join this contest from Japan?

says …

@Akiko Of course! We look forward to your entry!

Charly says …

What are pumpkin spices? what if you cannot buy canned pumpkin? I have tasty pumpkins in my garden,though..

beale says …

@Charly: Thanks for your question. Pumpkin pie spice is a blend that typically contains cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and allspice or cloves. You can buy it ready-mixed at the store or make your own! Here's a recipe that may help: http://www.food.com/library/pumpkin-pie-spice-173. Your garden pumpkins, as long as they are on the smaller side, should work for this recipe. Just use the same amount of cooked pumpkin flesh as you would canned pumpkin. Happy baking!

just checking to see if there was still a problem with the photo site. submitted a photo this morning and haven't seen the photo or received an email confirmation. want to make sure you received it or will resubmit. thanks.

I am curious as to what licensing rights Whole Foods is seeking to the photographs being submitted. Also, what license and reproduction rights does WF expect to have to the "winning image" in exchange for $25? Is there a link somewhere outlining this? Thanks.

alexandra says …

can we sub a vegan version for the eggs and still be eligible?

Gg says …

I am totally doing this! Lets get cooking!

Amy says …

Sorry, I realized there was a lag time in my phot being approved...sorry for the several entries, I made a mistake!!

beale says …

@Amy: no worries! There is a little lag-time in the approval process. We're excited to see your entry, and hope you liked the cookies.

beale says …

@alexandra: Thanks for your question! Yes, you may use vegan replacement ingredients for the butter and eggs and still be eligible. Good luck and happy baking!

beale says …

@Carolyn: Thanks for your question! Our photo-uploading guidelines and full Terms of Use have more information, but the short answer is that any image uploaded to our website gives Whole Foods Market nonexclusive rights to the photo. Here's a link to our Terms of Use: http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/users/terms.php Good luck and happy baking!

Mary says …

Are you judging the photo or choosing randomly? Thanks!

beale says …

@Mary: Thanks for your question. As the blog states, we'll be choosing "the best of the best" - so this is not a random judging. Happy baking!

beale says …

@Alicia: yes, fine to submit with gluten-free ingredients. Thanks for asking, and happy baking!

beale says …

@Amy: Thanks for your question. Our recipe photo gallery holds 8 or 10 photos at a time, with the most recent submissions showing up first. Rest assured we have all submissions saved in our database regardless of what displays on the recipe page.

A Humann says …

Oops - I think I had the same issue that others had with uploading too many times due to the lag. My apologies if that is the case- but I have not received an e-mail confirming receipt- how long is the lag?

beale says …

@A Humann: No worries, and thanks so much for your photos! You should receive an email shortly.

Elena King says …

Last night my daughter made these Pumpkin-Cranberry oatmeal Cookies and they are very delicious and healthy too. It was hard to eat just one and we keep reaching for more for the rest of the evening. I uploaded a photo and didn't see any response, hope it went through. thanks for the recipes.

Janet Foster says …

I tried to upload a photo but I have no idea if it made it or not. The cookies were delicious with a little more spice. Great recipes.

Submission Update Reminder: Once your photo is approved on Whole Foods end, you will receive an email indicating such. However, your photos are not approved immediately and so there is often lag time between submission and acknowledgement. If your photo is approved, you will receive the confirmation email. Thanks!
