I so want this CD. Songs from the 60's and 70's were more meaningful than all the rump shaking songs of today. John's got a lot going on. A bright man. Very inspiring. I do so enjoy being consciously aware. Way to go guys. Wake us up!

It's great to see someone revitalizing these songs of protest and hope for a better future. We need a galvanizing force to gather people together to create and sustain real change.

One of my favorites is "Wake up Everybody", but there are so many. Keb Mo has a good album with a lot of these songs as well - Peace, Back by Popular Demand. Michael Franti has a lot too, but his are not remakes. My favorite is "Do You Love" - pretty poignant in light of all of the horrible teen suicides recently.

Norah Jones, 'My Dear country'. Her voice is intoxicating and her playfulness and honesty with her love for country but apprehensiveness with how the media portrays the people who run the country. Makes me want to pay more attention to the candidates and get more involved with the election process

I have two songs that don't necessarily make me want to "WAKE-UP" concerning the world but in my personal life. Mary J. Blige's "No More Drama" and Patti Labelle's "New Attitude".

There are so many songs that help me wake-up to the needs of the world around us. It's hard to choose, but I narrowed it down to two... "World" by Five for Fighting inspires me so much... I am working on a performance art piece/ fanmade music video for the song. and "Brother My Brother" by Blessid Union of Souls... also to be a future performance art piece.

Wake Up! this song is a brilliant 'wake-up call' to our educators, mentors and care givers of the world. We all must open our minds, hearts and eyes to help others see, hear, feel and have the opportunity to "Shine". Your music touched me and is beautiful. Thank you and peace be with you.....
