My valentine is the most patient, loving huband. I had back surgery and was in bed fo nine months. He took care of me and the our three children. He made meals, did laundry, cleaned the house, ran car pool, went to school conferences and activities and sat by my bedside for hours at a time. All of this while working a full time job. His care helped get me through days of pain and suffering. He is the love of my life.

My valentines are my two children, especially this year! As a single mom, they have been more than understanding and supportive of a mom who worked full time, ran a part time business and put one through college and the other on his way through college. This year (next week actually) I'm scheduled for major surgery and their plans as caregivers after my surgery is incredibly heart warming. They are my valentines this year and always!

Love means never giving my family processed food and hormone riddled groceries. I know if I won this wonderful Valentines gift from WF and gave it to my family, they would probably turn around and give it right back to me. Thank you WF for making my shopping easy, because you guys do all the homework so I don't have to. I trust WF explicitly.

My Husband is my Valentine and Our Valentine is our dog Lucy. He has stuck by through 5 surgeries, and other medical issues over the last 6 years. There have been good and bad days but he always try to make me smile and I make his lunch almost every morning as my way of saying, I Love You. And this is our 1 year anniversary of keeping the minature rose bush alive that I got last year for Valentines day. It has been tedious and we've had to go to a few garden centers to help it survive. So far I've mannaged to kill all the plants I've register, even the living rock. Mabye there is a little green in my thumb after all (even if my Husband Painted it there = : )

My valentine is special because he has stuck "with us" through thick and thin, good times as well as hard times. When we had 8 of the top 10 most stressful things happen to us within a 5 year stretch (several more than once - yikes!), we were beginning to wonder if we had big X's on our foreheads. By the way, one of the top 10 most stressful things is divorce. We've been married almost 24 years now, and when we weather the storms together, it makes the good times even rosier! My valentine is solid as a rock and I'm the luckiest lady alive! XoXoXo

Laura Rhoden says …

Valentine's Day is all about love, but not just a spouse's love. I often try to reach out to single friends, my single mom and my single 18 year old daughter. To just let them know someone loves them. I try to make sure it's not all about if you have a significant other, just about having someone that loves you. I really proud of my daughter, this year she and several single girl friends are all going out to dinner to celerbrate each other and frienship!

My Valentine is my husband of almost eight years. I love him with all my heart and wish the best in life for him and our two children. I want a different and exciting way to show him that I care so deeply for him and what better way to do that than with a gift basket from Whole Foods. He means the world to me and I want him healthy and vibrant for his entire life. I believe anything in Whole Food Market will help give him vitality and help prolong his life. I'm excited to hear who will be the recipient of this great prize.

The one gift I look forward to every year is the one from my father. When I was younger I would get very sad that when it came to valentines day and I would check my locker at the end of the day and there wasn't anything in there for me. One Valentine I was so tired of not getting even a letter from someone asking to be my Valentine that I went home and cried. I guess my dad found out because when I woke up the morning after valentines Day there was a card and a stuffed animal from him. The card said, "You'll get one from a boy one day but until then this stuff animal can be your Valentine. He even got you a gift. Love Dad P.S. You better be married when you get a Valentines from a boy." I go to college now and he still sends me a Valentine with the same message and a stuffed animal. So I want to give the basket to my dad so he can share it with my mom~

My Father, as corny as that sounds. He was born on Valentine's Day,so we didn't really celebrate it much growing up, and every year he manages to sneak fair trade chocolates in my luggage during HIS birthday party! This will be the first year since he's passed, and I will always remember his fun, thoughtful tradition.

Joan S says …

My husband is the best... from taking care of me when I'm sick (he made me the best stirfry tonight that I could taste even with this HORRIBLE cold I have), to allowing my obsession with rescue dogs (we have three that range in weight from 55-110 lbs :), to helping me take care of myself even though I'm stressed out trying to find an assisted living place for my parents. He loves me on my good days and loves me even more on my bad.

Michelle R. Domb says …

My husband is always finding new ways to spend our time together. We go different places, have picnics, took me to my first Bengals game, planning on going to see the Cyclones next weekend, travel up to see my son at college in Michigan whenever I want. This year, my Valentine will be my best friend. Through failing relationships & trying semesters at school, we’ve been each other’s biggest support systems. Always just a quick phone call, text, or 20-minute midnight drive with a frozen pizza away, we’ve shared our high’s & low’s together. While many will use this Valentine’s day to celebrate their love for a budding or lasting romantic relationship, I’m choosing to celebrate the platonic love I have for the closest person in my life.

My hubby is my Vally. He is there for me through thick and thin. He is a sweetheart.

My valentine is my husband. We recently welcomed our first child, a beautiful little girl, into the world. We had a tough pregnancy but he was there for me to help ease the burden and stress of those 9 months not going quite as we anticipated. Unfortunately, when she was born she was unable to take her first breath. She was resuscitated twice before she left the room where I was unable to see her for 9 hours afterward until she had stabilized. There is no way I would have ever been able to get through such a difficult year without him. She was my Valentines Day gift from him this last year and while I could NEVER give him anything as close to such a perfect gift, I would love to show him how much I care. It would be a perfect gift to be able to share a truly special Valentine's Day which would confirm even further that we can get through anything and come out on top of it.

My sister is a bright and loving example of what a true Valentine is. She continues to selflessly give and love daily throughout life's ups and downs. She helps assist those in great needs and places her own needs and wants aside. She is a great friend and confidant.

My Valentine is my fiancée. There's always an overjoyed smile on her face when she steps off the plane — we're doing the long-distance thing for now, unfortunately — and she makes me feel like I'm the only guy in the room no matter where we are. Oh, and she also bakes delicious treats for surprise gifts!

My boyfriend is in a year long internship program in Las Vegas which leaves a 2,500 mile gap between us for Valentines day and an entire year of celebrations. He recently had a juicer mailed to me as a surprise. I would love to get him an ecologically responsible gift as well.

Michelle says …

My Valentine is my husband. He's great in that he does the dishes, vacuums & does the laundry (without asking), compliments my dinners (even if they're not all gourmet), helps our families when they have computer issues, and is a great friend/neighbor to those in need. Today, he's made sure that we don't forget that we can act like kids if we want to - and spent the afternoon sledding and then had hot cocoa. He's a great person to have in my life, and I look forward to renewing our wedding vows in Hawaii next year for our 10th wedding anniversary.
