Grilled Chicken Sausage and Red Pear Skewers

Serves 6 as an appetizer

Pair your favorite savory sausage with a juicy red Bartlett pear in a zippy balsamic vinegar marinade at least 30 minutes before grilling.

  • 2 fully cooked chicken sausages, cut into 12 pieces
  • 1 red Bartlett pear, cut into 12 chunks
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

Toss sausages with pear, oil and vinegar in a bowl. Marinate for 1/2 hour to 2 hours. 

Prepare a grill for medium heat cooking. Thread two pieces of sausage and two pieces of pear on each of 6 skewers. (If using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes before using.) Grill 2 minutes on each side, turning and grilling for a total of 7 to 10 minutes.
