About the Store

Whole Foods Market Monterey is located in one of the most historic cities in California. Located on the central coast, Monterey is a water-front community that hosts countless activities and adventures year-round. Golfing, surfing, kayaking, hiking, fishing, whale watching and scuba diving are just a few activities available in and around the city. Monterey is home to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, an attraction that hosts over 1.8 million visitors every year. Directly outside the Aquarium is Cannery Row, a bustling sardine canning operation in the early 1900's and is now one of the biggest attractions in the city, made popular by John Steinbeck and his tales of Cannery Row in its heyday. From Cannery Row, you can walk to Fisherman's Wharf and enjoy a hot bowl of clam chowder while watching seals, sea otters, pelicans, and other marine life in their natural habitat, the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary.
