Oh, it just doesn’t get much better than fresh, sweet summer corn. Some swear by eating corn straight from the cob and others find amazingly tasty ways to dress it up. Whatever you choose, there’s no need to break into a sweat over it—corn is super easy to prepare. You can cut the kernels off the cob and add to salads, chilled soups or salsas for a sweet crunch.
Or you can boil the cobs for a minute or two until the kernels are tender. To test, pierce a kernel with a knife or fork to see if it’s ready. Grilling is also an option. Throw shucked cobs on the grill, or leave them in their husks, and cook until kernels are tender.
