Food Ingredient Standards
What we sell is as important as what we don’t. Our standards prohibit 300+ colors (like Red Dye 40), preservatives, sweeteners (like high-fructose corn syrup) and other ingredients from all the food we sell.
Meat Dept. Standards
You’ll find 100+ animal welfare standards for fresh beef, pork, chicken, turkey, and more, in our Meat department. All meat is traceable to the farm or ranch, with no added growth hormones or antibiotics, ever. And there are no synthetic nitrates or nitrites allowed in our bacon, hot dogs and sausage.
Egg Standards
All of our chickens have room to roam indoors, outdoors or on pasture. They have to meet our animal welfare standards — because when chickens behave naturally, they naturally lay great eggs.
Seafood Dept. Standards
There are no added growth hormones or antibiotics, ever. All seafood is traceable to farm or fishery. And 100% of our canned tuna is single-line pole caught.
Bath and Body Care Standards
What goes on your body is as important as what goes in it. We ban ingredients like parabens, phthalates, oxybenzone and hundreds more.
Supplement Standards
In our aisles you’ll find high-quality supplements without banned ingredients, including certain preservatives, flavors, colors and other ingredients.
Cleaning Standards
Unlike other retailers, we not only require all ingredients to be listed on the label, but all cleaning products must be tested for performance – and third-party verified.
